Liked: Location.
Disliked: Needs updating, and better chairs in room. The outside area was very noisy.

Bad

Liked: Breakfast consist of frozen sausage biscuits.. toilet was leaking from the bottom so you can imagine what was coming out onto the floor. Overnight manager did nothing about it

While not perfect, I would...

Liked: The staff was very friendly. The gentleman who checked us in (probably the owner) cracked jokes with us. I had booked a deluxe room with a balcony but when we got there and saw the motel I realized that my disability (walking very much) would be a problem and he happily found me a room on the ground floor that was close to an entrance with what might have been the only handicapped parking spot. And the location of the hotel was very convenient indeed. Our room was clean and the beds comfortable for a good night's sleep.
Disliked: There is a key card entry from the outside which would be a great safety feature but the particular door for our wing of the hotel did not automatically close. It seemed we were the only ones who made sure to close the door because every time we went in or out the door was ajar and could be opened by anyone. There were no baggage carts to assist with unpacking the car. We were only there for a night but it would have been helpful with our bags and cooler. I did see a couple of bugs but really, that can happen anywhere. The hallways were musty and even though we were in a non-smoking wing we could smell cigarettes and marijuana. My biggest problem is that I am handicapped. I don't expect special treatment but I did look into the facility via their page. There were a few photos provided but only one picture of a total bathroom, and it showed there was a bar in the shower/tub that would have helped me to bathe and get in and out without a danger of slipping and falling. Our bathroom did not have the bar so I was unable to shower while there. If our stay had been more than overnight it would have been a huge issue. I will own that I should have confirmed every room had one but with only one picture of a bathroom most people would assume they were the same. And finally, I had a safety concern with the fact that all rooms have a sliding glass door. My 19 year old daughter wasn't interested in going to the concert we came to Athens to attend and we left her at the hotel. It was a huge worry for me but that is not uncommon for older hotels and that was mostly a me issue.

Disliked: Roaches, centipedes, a door that wouldn’t lock, a desk chair that no one could sit on…it leaned back so far… Place badly needs cleaned up… even a little paint would help!

Liked: Reception was very personable and very helpful. Bed was comfortable.
Disliked: Dead bolt on door didn't work. Walls were thin and could hear snoring from another room. Fan didn't work on the heater.
