What I loved about the hotel is the people that work in the front.

Clean, good location. Wine/champagne from 5-6 PM was a great start to New Year's Eve. Staff was very friendly - even helped us order pizza at 2 AM! Would recommend and will stay again. Only downside, no coffee when we got up. It was New Year's Day. Should have served coffee a little later than usual.
Liked: Great time
Disliked: No coffee in room, the cutoff time to get coffee in the hotel was too early - it was New Year's Day!!

Simple place but really good.
Liked: The hotel is really stylish. It has great internet connection throughout. Walking distance to chinatown and union square and sorrounded with a nice set of good retaurants. Last but not least, it has valet parking.
Disliked: To be fair, there's nothing I'd point out, simple but really good.

Good
Liked: Friendly staff
Disliked: There’s no drinking water in common spaces, must go downstairs and ask for a refill

Great funky place to stay.
Liked: Great funky place to stay in San Fran. The games room was amazing for some fun family time. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Location wasn’t too bad. The lighting in the room was a little dim, however we did notice that everywhere we went at night was a little dimmer than we were use to in Australia.

Good solution downtown San Francisco
Liked: Hotel downtown. Restaurants and transportation close by. Room was spacious and clean and not noisy at all. Staff was helpful and provided some tips.

CONVENIENT S/F CITY CENTRE HOTEL...
Liked: Ideal location in downtown S/F. I have stayed here on several previous visits. Quiet location, just five minutes from Union Square and c. ten minutes from Powell St. cable car and BART Metro line. Room rate was slightly less than on my last stay in January 2024,
Disliked: Two minor reservations: tea/coffee making facilities no longer available in room and there used to be full breakfast available by the lobby., but now just coffee/croissants provided.

Quirky hotel not good value...
Liked: We were checked in by a lovely member of staff called Rodaba who upgraded us to a bigger room when we told her it was our first time in the States and we were celebrating my birthday. The hotel was quite quirky with a really good music playing downstairs. There is an on site burger restaurant which was nice. There was also a scheme that if you elected to not have your room cleaned on a certain day you got a $10 for this restaurant.
Disliked: Do not bother with the breakfast package. You get a $15 voucher to spend at the on site cafe which had limited options. I'm lactose intolerant and all of the hot sandwiches had cheese in them. I asked if I could have one of the sandwiches without cheese & was told no, they just come with cheese in them. So I basically had a choice of what was on the counter, one day all that was left was cake. I chose banana bread which had a hair in it! All of the food was given to you in paper to go bags which made for messy eating. The rooms were clean with the exception of the windows which were absolutely filthy. No complimentary teas or coffees in the room, even the bottled water had a $5 price tag on it. You could get complimentary teas or coffees in the cafe between 7-11am but most days this didn't arrive until 7.30am. We were also charged a $35 per day fee for use of facilities even if you didn't want to use them. This included a gym (which we didn't know it had, if we did we might have brought gym clothes & used it) and a games room downstairs. The one day we did want to use this was superbowl Sunday and it was booked for a private party. They don't waive the fee even if it's booked out.Overall the hotel wasn't awful but it definitely didn't feel good value for money or like a 4* hotel.
