Good

Okay for someone who's not...

Liked: Generally a pretty location, the common area was nice, staff was super friendly and breakfast was actually better than I expected. Variety of breads, buns and cereals. Even eggs, pancakes and little cakes.
Disliked: The rooms could really use proper cleaning. I found lots of dust and a wrapped candy under my bed, which I didn't put there and which still had not been removed after I asked for room service. The bathroom was okay but there were make up stains on the wall. The area is pretty quiet but if the people in the room next door are having a row, you're certainly part of it.

Very good

Liked: Location and breakfast were perfect. Shearing the bathroom and shower, not so much. The staff was very helpful.
Disliked: Shearing the bathroom and shower, not so much. The steep stairs to bring up luggage were very hard. No elevator.

Liked: Location was good and close to museums.
Disliked: Beds and pillows were hard. Bathroom had a mildew and bad odor when shower was used that filled the whole room

Recommend

Liked: Very friendly staff, renovated facilities, god location (near the Van Gogh Museum, Rijksmuseum, diamond Museum, transport, etc), limited but good breakfast space and variety. It wasn't cheap, but its exceeded expectations.
Disliked: In the rooms below you can hear the footsteps of guests on the room above, which is somewhat annoying at night. Unfortunately, sometimes there are people who don't know how to respect others and made noise in the early hours of the morning in their room.

Great stay, but the stairs...

Liked: Our stay was very good, but the stairs were quite a challenge since we stayed on the 4th floor. Even though we shared the bathroom, it was clean and comfortable. As expected in Amsterdam, there was some noise from other guests.
