Hotel Waldstein is located in the most attractive part of Prague surrounded by Prague Castle and just a few steps from Charles Bridge and the Old Town Square. All the most important sights of Prague are easily accessible on foot. The nearest metro station is accessible within a 5-minute walk and a tram stop within a 2-minutes walk. Set in a 14th-century building rooms at Hotel Waldstein are fitted with modern furniture. Each room has a flat-screen satellite TV and free tea and coffee making facilities. The hotel's rich hot buffet breakfast is served in a beautiful vaulted Renaissance cellar. In summer guests can relax in the pleasant atrium. Free Wi-Fi is provided in public areas. For trams 22 23 and 12 guests can walk to Malostranske namesti tram station only 164 feet away. The Malostranska Metro Station on the A line is 656 feet away. Due to the historic monument protection there is no elevator in the building. All rooms are accessible only by stairs. The 24-hour reception is located in the Hotel Three Storks just 98 feet from the Hotel Waldstein. Alena and Luciano ,one of...

Liked: We had a great stay at the Waldstein We arrived early and were greeted by Alena and Luciano,We were early but had requested an early check in and it was no problem check in was seamless and very helpful.Luciano show us to the room and gave us any useful information about the room. The room was spacious and a mix between modern and old and clean.We were very happy with our stay and the service was very good.

Excellent location, great staff, and...

Liked: The location just being over the bridge meant it was quiet but only a 15 min work from the main square in the old town. The hotel is newly refurbished with room 2 having an excellent bathroom, comfy beds, great amenities and the Buffet breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice and all the way up to 10:30. .
Disliked: We sadly had a hot water issue in the room on the first night, which was too late to rectify, the staff however were great, and when rectified couldnt apolise more. It didnt let the rest of the 3 night stay down. Other than an issue with a boiler that was out of their control at the time, there were no issues.

Best base for developing Prague.

Liked: Wonderful location in the heart of Mala Strana, close to the Karluv most and the metro station. Romantic room, perfect breakfast, lovely, professional staff. Parking is possible on the close square.

Incredible central yet quiet location

Liked: The location of the hotel is simply amazing - in the middle of Mala Strana, at the foot of the castle hill, and adjacent to the Czech Senate building. Despite the central location, the vicinity of the hotel was very quiet and we enjoyed a good night's sleep for the whole duration of our stay, which included the weekend.Convenient street parking right by the hotel may be booked for a reasonable price.The historic building is quaint (but beware, as advertised there is no elevator, and upper stories are reached by steep, narrow stairs, which did not bother us, but would probably be a problem for larger people) and well maintained.The room was very clean and clearly some effort went into its design. The bed was surprisingly comfortable. The bathroom was large.The staff were welcoming and helpful.Breakfast was nice.
Disliked: Our room was slightly weird - I seem to remember I had booked a double room but we got one with two bedrooms and two double beds. It was large, sure, but we could only really use half of it.I would have preferred soap without the cheap irritant Sodium Laureth Sulfate - I ended up using the soap I brought with me.
