Great location near Museums.

Liked: We were cruising through Netherlands, Belgium and France on a bit of an art tour. The best thing about this hotel is its location, right by the Van Gogh Museum and the Rijksmuseum, maybe a 5-10 minute walk. It was also close to the canals and all of the historic district. When traveling Europe, and staying in the historic part of the cities, I expect the rooms to be pretty small compared to American hotel rooms. This room was pretty small, and the bathroom was very small. We did have a bit of trouble controlling the heat in the room, and we were on the first floor, with a door to a courtyard instead of a window, so we couldn't just leave the door open all night to keep the room cool. Overall, it's not a bad option if you are planning to visit Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum, and that area.
Disliked: We could not get the room cooled off at night, and we were there in late October. Other rooms there, with opening windows, would work better.

Liked: Location was good, close to Vondelpark, close enough to the centre without breaking the bank. Staff very friendly and accommodating, they have an option for rental bikes.
Disliked: Rooms were not that clean quite a few stains here and there check-in process delayed to lack of Communication sat around in the waiting room quite a bit before being checked in.
