Convenient one night stay on...

Liked: Location was perfect, a short walk to the train station and all the great places on State Street.
Disliked: I understand that it's an older building and it lends to the character of the place, but upgrading to double pane windows would be wonderful for eliminating the noise from the street.

Disliked: Our experience at the hotel was disappointing due to the initial room we were assigned. It was on the ground floor, had very little natural light, and faced the backyard. The window was mostly covered, leaving it feeling dark and lacking privacy. When we requested a better room, the staff initially told us no other rooms were available. Only after we mentioned canceling our stay did they offer us a room on the second floor, which was still facing the backyard but was more spacious and bright.The first room should not be offered without a significant discount, ideally around 50% off, given its poor condition. Additionally, rooms with a backyard view should be discounted in general. While the second-floor room was nicer and larger, and the lobby area was cozy (albeit small), the overall hotel felt extremely overpriced for what it offered.It’s a case where the room quality didn’t align with the high price tag, making the experience feel less than satisfactory.
