Liked: Comfortable boutique hotel in vibrant Condesa neighbourhood, close to most attractions in central Mexico City. Staff is extremely helpful assisting with performance bookings and restaurant recommendations.

Liked: Outdoor and indoor area was beautiful and cozy.Perfect smoking locations as well.Friendly staff, good food and cocktails.
Disliked: Meals were excellent taste, however a little bit smaller portions than they should be.

Disliked: We had booked a three-night stay at Hotel Villa Condesa and were arriving very early in the morning (6 AM), well before the official check-in time of 3 PM. Fully aware of this timing, we had contacted the hotel in advance to ask if an early check-in was possible or if we could book the previous night to have access to a room upon arrival. The hotel informed us that this option was unavailable, which we completely understood and accepted.We therefore arrived at the hotel only to drop off our luggage, as previously agreed, before leaving and returning later. What disappointed us was not the unavailability of the room, but the complete lack of hospitality. Upon arrival, the manager greeted us with nothing more than “Leave your bags here and come back at 3 PM,” with no welcome, no offer of a glass of water, and most importantly, no option to wait even for an hour in the lobby while the city was still in darkness.After a 12-hour flight, we simply asked if we could use the restroom. The manager allowed us but hurried us along and told us to be quiet, without showing any understanding or remorse for the situation.We were left with no choice but to step out into a deserted city, at an hour when it is not advisable to be wandering alone.As for the hotel itself, it occupies a lovely house but has seen better days. The facilities are outdated, the décor is worn out. The bathroom, in particular, was disappointing: the water pressure in the shower was inconsistent and fluctuated, making it quite unpleasant to use. However, one undeniable advantage is the location in the lovely area of La Condesa.We were not expecting special treatment, just a basic level of courtesy. Despite this poor first impression, we went ahead with our stay, but this experience could have been entirely different if the hotel had shown a little more consideration for its guests.Following this experience, we shared our concerns with Booking and they specifically recommended that we leave a review
