BEDBUGS!

Liked: The pool area is nice enough but that’s it.
Disliked: The room didn’t look as nice as it did in the photos. The windows were dirty. The reception room is dark and usually completely unmanned. More importantly however there are bedbugs present in the room. Both my partner and I were bitten all over. First night we arrived late. I slept but I sensed something was living in the bed. I woke up with bites. The second night we were eaten alive.My partner lifted up the mattress and saw that the bed and underneath hadn’t been cleaned for what looked like a very long time. The mattress was filthy. He saw insect droppings. We complained and left immediately. I spent the next two days of what was supposed to be my vacation heat washing all our clothes. We have valuable a and luggage that can’t be disinfected. We are extremely worried about our home becoming infected and are having to arrange quarantine for all our belongings while we figure out how to protect our own home from being infected.We have had no response from the hotel nor customer services. This has cost us such an unbelievable amount of time and money. They clearly do not care please keep yourself & your home safe and stay away from here.

Great stay that fails at...

Liked: The hotel is nice and well located, with easy access to the beach, transportation, a couple of good places to eat and small shops you can buy essentials. The staff was very accomodating towards our requests which included an early check in, which was based on availability, still it was nice that they were open to let us in early. Flo was a great host and even checked us out prior to our very early flight out
Disliked: The room was nice although it could benefit from an air purifier as whenever you go in, you can smell the humidity, not entirely off-putting, but it is a problem with a simple solution that we did see in other rooms we stayed at in Miami. The big problem was, which other reviewers have mentioned, is the issue with the hold charge in my card which they never refundend, when I reached out to the frontdesk, they said the issue was not on their end and I should contact my bank, and they are still processing the return. This would not hinder my review if it was an isolated event but the fact that several customers have said the same thing, encourages me to mention it in my review so people consider it in their choice of stay. You might wanna choose a card you can easily dispute the charge haha.

Liked: well designed, historical boutique hotel, responsible and accountable reception and housecleaning staff , available parking
Disliked: Traffic on South Beach (not the fault of hotel)
