Superb

It was a wonderful visit....

Liked: We had two favorite things we loved about our stay. First, the location was exceptional, and we could walk to all the sites and shopping we wanted. Second, the breakfast each morning was exceptional! There was such a wonderful variety of both hot and cold foods, the pastries were amazing, and the cappcuccinos were delicious. The setting for the fabulous breakfast was beautiful, and the wait staff were very attentive and kind. Honestly, it's the best breakfast spread we had during our two week tour of Italy! Thank you!!

Exceptional

Very good apart from one...

Liked: Loved the character and the history of the hotel. A comfortable room, central for everything. Friendly staff and a good breakfast. Loved the tower which gave stunning views over Florence.
Disliked: Room decor was a little tired and could do with some tlc. No information in the room. First night was wakened just after midnight with loud banging which was coming from the radiators. Walked down to reception no one was there and no contact numbers. Turned the radiators off and the noise finally stopped around 3am! Sorted the next day, however still could not use one of the radiators!

Amazing setting and location

Liked: Very good breakfast, fresh pastries and excellent espresso and cappuccino. Plenty of choice. Amazing breakfast room. Also the view from the tower is unique and worth the effort of climbing the narrow stairs! Location is right in the centre of Firenze. All touristic attractions are within walking distance in about 30 min max.
Disliked: Lift is slow

I would not return to...

Liked: Location was great. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was included and had nice options.
Disliked: The hot water in our shower lasted at most 30 seconds. There was a bug infestation and both myself and my friend were covered in mosquito bites, including on our face and eyelids when we woke up, despite windows being closed. Most notably was the noise outside the street/alleyway. The "bedroom" that faced this alley was unlivable with noise from trucks, horses, people, workers, etc. at all hours of the day and night.

What a treasure!

Liked: the room was ample, had two restrooms (one shower) and was very comfortable. This is an antique property so do not expect it to have the exact same look and feel you would get in a brand hotel. This is part of the charm of the place so take it as it is, an adventure to one of the oldest buildings in the city. The hotel tower had a view that was better than going to Piazza Michelangelo, extremely romantic and beautiful. The breakfast at the hotel was perfect and complete to cater to every interest be it just having a well prepared espresso and cornetto or egg-based, cheeses and hams breakfast. They offered multiple viennoiseries to make your heart jump in sugary happiness (if that is what you are looking for). The location of this place is priceless, just the location is worth every penny. The staff, attentive and kind they made our check-in process nice and easy and made us feel welcomed as we got there. Recommended.
Disliked: The hotel room we were in was not accessible as there was an additional flight of stairs that we needed to go through to get there without any type of elevator, would have liked to know this before hand BUT its not something that would have changed my decision to stay. It helped us to get some good work out out of the equation, but I would see this being a problem in terms of accessibility for someone with movement impairments (just ASK). The restroom sometimes had smells from blackwater in the morning, nothing major but go with the right expectations this is an old property, old properties might have some smells but again this is part of the charm. I loved my experience but my mother who is very picky would have had a problem with this. So just appreciate things for what they are, know what to expect and if it is too much just ask for help. We will stay here again when we come visit Florence next year.
