Liked: Everything was excellent! The reception staff, who spoke more than five languages, were amazing. The room was perfect, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and the breakfast was very generous. The hotel's location is also outstanding.

Avoid!! Bed Bugs!!

Liked: The communal areas are beautiful, breakfast was really comprehensive and most of the staff were very warm, welcoming and friendly.
Disliked: There were quite a few issues that I now consider to be quite minor considering our beds had bed bugs!! There is not soap dish so soap just leaves ooze all over the counter, the shower is just a tap attachment over a very small bath - tepid with no pressure and generally just a bit of a pain, there are no double beds in the hotel, only two singles pushed together and one day our room wasn’t turned down until nearly 4pm, and the following day housekeeping woke us at 9.30am wanting to turn down the room. We asked if they could come back later but they didn’t. Much worse than all of that though, the beds had bed bugs. And sadly the hotel have refused to acknowledge or respond to my email advising them. We stayed 4 nights and on the 4th day my husband found a couple of little bites on his arm and leg. We assumed they must be some kind of biting insect from outdoors. Following check out and returning to the UK, my husband had lots more itchy bites appear. He saw an out of hours GP that same evening and he advised they were bed bug bites, provided a topical treatment and advised we contact the hotel straight away so they could manage the infestation. I emailed the hotel within the hour and I’ve had no response or reply. A really horrible end to what should have been a wonderful holiday, and a complete lack of responsibility from the hotel. I feel sorry for whichever poor souls have our room next.

Wonderful experience

Liked: The staff are exceptional across the board and the breakfast excellent catering for most tastes.
Disliked: Not so much a dislike more a suggestion. it would be helpful to provide an evening snack, with no restaurant on site a small hamper with some basics would be an idea even if it was a pre placed order?
