Liked: Beautiful decor, excellent location, wonderful and engaging staff and so much more.Loved having breakfast in room with the beautiful canal view. Loved chatting up with the staff. Location and rooms are just perfect. I can go on and on but ultimately I really enjoyed my stay.

Liked: Beautiful, intimate atmosphere with individually crafted rooms reflecting Amsterdam’s historical past. The lovely view over the canal, from both the room and the breakfast cafe. The friendly and professional staff and the excellent breakfast. The local neighbourhood with nearby restaurants, easy walking to the station and sites.
Disliked: There was nothing to dislike for us, but be aware that the tiny lift and corridors reflect the building’s historical past.

Liked: Unique boutique hotel with each room individually themed and fitted out with great attention to detail offering a luxury feel from the start. Situated in a fairly quiet but central location by the Singal canal which gave lovely outlook. A delicious breakfast laid out at the requested time was a delight as was the gift of Delftware coasters on checkout. The staff were extremely welcoming and couldn't have been more helpful.
Disliked: There was a slight mix up with the rooms on checkin and a city tax was charged on arrival even though it had been paid with the booking however this was swiftly rectified when brought to their attention.

Liked: The craftsman is a great hotel, the location is good, being away from the busy tourist areas, but still close to the city centre. There are a lot of great restaurants within walking distance. One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in!
Disliked: It’s in the city, there can be a little noise at night.
