Central Marseille hotel, run down...
Liked: Proximity to Saint-Charles station and the Old Port. View from balcony.
Disliked: Very dated and run down. Shower head broken and wouldn’t sit in the holder.

excellent value for money
Liked: staff took my case up to lift and room was clean warm and properly equipped. The help from the staff was worthy of 5 stars they looked after me and i hope you look after them
Disliked: Could you be a bit more generous with the tea and coffee provided in room. They gave me more but i had to get dressed to go down to reception to get it

Disliked: Appalling place. Should in no way be promoted as a place to stay by booking.com. We arrived mid evening and was checked in by a pleasant enough receptionist who, sad to say, looked a little tired and worn. Was shown to our room which had an overwhelming smell of smoke; an unmade bed and used tissues strewn across the bathroom. We refused to stay here so was then shown 2 ‘upgraded rooms’. The first had large holes in the walls stuffed with tissues, so we opted for the second. The receptionist opened the door to the new room and we were met with a flurry of cockroaches scurrying about the floor, towards the bed. We picked up our bags and left the hotel. It was 10pm. Fortunately, we managed to rebook somewhere else. The receptionist continually apologised for the state of the rooms and promised to leave a note for the manager asking them to refund us. However, we never heard back from the hotel again, even after our own repeated attempts to contact them.
