Disappointing uncomfortable stay

Liked: The Staff although non English speaking were very helpful and friendly and we managed it somehow or another with the google translate app. The Hotel is very close to the Historical Centre, just a few minutes a way from Zocalo and Atzec Ruins of the Templo Mayor which was a plus us wanting to join the Dia del los Muertos festivities which ended up all at the Zocalo. They had a baggage Storage and a good elevator and good Shower.
Disliked: The Hotel has no facility for breakfast and no Coffee shops or restaurants in the vicinity. The least they can doo is get a coffee machine in the common area or a kettle in the room. The bathroom's sink's tap was not an actual tap just a drip of water which made it impossible even to wash your face at least the Shower was the only thing that worked fine. . The streets in the whole historical centre area are covered with cheap vendors closing the roads which lead to the hotel every day from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., therefore all tour operators refused to make a hotel pick up which made it quite inconvenient for us tourist as we had to take a taxi each time to a nearer hotel next to the Reforma to be able to be picked up for tours. The hotel's surrounding streets were quite scaryb especially in the dark with drug addicts and homeless people roaming around like Zombies and sleeping on the ground. If I visit Mexico City once again I would definitely not book this area. We realised then that the best area to stay in Mexico City is Roma Norte and Paseo de la Reforma, So people beware.

Did not stay

Liked: I never found the location even with GPS. So I don’t know what I could have liked.
Disliked: That I never found the place and GPS kept taking to different places. Even though I did not even use the place, I still got charged for it. Not fair, no sign outside with hotel name, no clear directions.

Poor

Disliked: Homeless sleeping right in front of door. Difficult to get to by taxi due to massive street markets. Drivers have wanted to drop me off anywhere.Sheets were stained and mattress was very hard and lumpy.

Glad I will never have...

Liked: It looks good on theOutside but the rooms are horrible
Disliked: The address listed is different from where the entrance is. It took me 1.5 hours to find it when I returned at night. And 3 taxi drivers.

Good value but not in...

Liked: Location was relatively central to the zocalo, the room was cleaned every day, bed is large and comfortable. Bathroom was decent with good hot water, though the tap had a strange operating mechanism that wasn’t the traditional kind. You have to push the water outlet to the side for water to flow. I found the room quieter than expected given the number of rooms around a central “courtyard“.
Disliked: The location at night is pretty empty. I didn’t feel entirely safe coming back after 8 pm though nothing happened specifically. The area is super bustling during the day. Convenient to access the shopping areas. Good access to the main airport. It was very quick to arrive by bus, which passes very close by.
