Liked: Staff were very friendly and helpful
Disliked: The Room and bathroom were very very small, there was very little room to unpack anything and it was too noisy to have the window open. We booked an inside room and when we arrived asked if we could upgrade which we did. We were told we could have a bigger room with a nice street view This was 1m sq bigger very noisy and impossible to sleep with the window open. Thankfully we were only there one night. Less than 48 hours prior (so couldn’t cancel ) we received an email saying the property was being refurbished so there was no bar or restaurant open and we’d be given a complimentary lite breakfast. Whilst this was basic, it was pleasant. The service was chaotic and the staff seemed to be struggling with getting a tray of food to each table. We were told we’d have a free mini bar in the room due to the refurbishments, this consisted of 2 cans of beer and 2 cans of Coca Cola. The staff were friendly and told us as the bar was closed we could have a complementary welcome drink after 3.30pm in reception. Whilst this was nice there was limited area to sit and we the housekeeper was hoovering around us for time we sat in reception. In summary we were very disappointed and would not say that for over £200 per night out of season was value for money.

Beautiful hotel in a great...

Liked: The hotel is on the edge of old town but within walking distance to the stadium (we recommend the tour!) and the museums. The staff was amazing and gave us detailed suggestions for our stay.
Disliked: nothing

Liked: Quirky, beautiful rooms, fabulous products, very nice staff
Disliked: Breakfast disappointing - not a buffet and a bit of a palaver to be honest. Set choices meant I couldn’t have what I wanted despite being on the menu. Tiny tea pots. Not great for an expensive and otherwise fabulous hotel.
