The hotel room is comfortable...
Liked: The room is very clean and cozy
Disliked: Parking is not convenient and the gym is not the same building. You have to walk 10 minutes for the gym which is not convenient.

Xhavier is the only 4...
Liked: Xhavier. The 4th star of this hotel is only thanks to Xhavier, who is so lovely in his hospitality that makes your stay exceptional and warm. We were in Montreal amidst a record snowfall and some of the coldest nights of the year, in knee high snow. But in this hotel, everything was warm and the hospitality provided by Xhavier made us feel the warmth. The hotel interior is new and modern, and we loved the shower with body jets. The hotel is very close to a metro station, and also close to many restaurants and bars. The hotel bar itself has decent choices. Our room was quiet.
Disliked: The hotel is not easily accessible. You have to navigate 6 or 7 steps to get in, which could be icy and slippery, and can be dangerous. The lobby itself has steps too.The room was narrow, but this is understandable as the whole lot is very narrow. Perhaps the most disruptive aspect of our stay in this hotel was the bright reflection of light from both the phone screen and air con control unit that couldn't be turned off. Also the aircon vent is right on top of the bed, which means everytime it blows hot air, it's right into your face which makes it very hot and difficult to breath. The bed is very low and mattress does not feel that supportive. Pillows are quite thin too.Our bath robe was ragged, and did not feel soft. Threads were coming out of it.Buffet breakfast was only very average, with no changes.Apart from Xhavier, all other staff were aloof, but respectful. A heavily tattooed uest kept coming to the bar with nothing on but a bath robe, but he was served and no one requested him to dress appropriately. He and his partner also got very drunk. This was unsightly and vulgar. No hotel should allow this to happen in public spaces. Some guests attended breakfast in pyjamas, again quite inappropriate. No help was offered to us to load and unload bags to cab.Despite all the beautiful interior and excellent location, Xhavier is the only reason 4 star worthy aspect of this hotel. Otherwise it should only have 2 or 3 tops.

We will be back!
Liked: The staff were amazing. Breakfast was delicious, so be sure to include that in your stay. The rooms are lovely and spacious, with comfortable beds and a great shower with separate bathtub. They were quick to respond to any needs or questions, and had suggestions of restaurants and cafés to eat at. I would recommend the hotel to everyone.
