Liked: Friendly host location and value
Disliked: A little stuff on the top floor rooms and the clock tower goes off every fifteen minutes...only a problem with the windows open

Bad

Liked: It's an ok hotel and not far away from skiing location.
Disliked: The hotel is next to the church. The bells ring every 15 minutes throughout the night and for 10 min at 5 am. And it is LOUD. If you are a relatively light sleeper, consider it an absolute no go. Worst night ever. Plus the beds are not comfortable, with no proper mattress.

Excellent value

Liked: We spontaneously decided to stay at this hotel to be near Andermatt to go up in the morning to ski. Andermatt was fairly full and expensive. The hotel was very good value for money and it was only 15 mins drive to Andermatt.Large room with nice view over the mountain. Nice breakfast. Welcoming staff.
Disliked: We arrived around 7pm and the only open place to eat nearby was 5 mins by car but it was full. It wasn’t a big deal as we drove to Andermatt instead where there was plenty of choice. May not be ideal if you are moving by train/public transport.

Great and affordable place to...

Liked: Very clean en recently renovated room. Floor heating. A comfortable king size bed. Hotel is on a good location to visit Andermatt (we went skiing from here - about a 20min drive). Very near to the train station. Owners were helpful and friendly. Simple but good breakfast. There is always a public parking spot available in the proximity of the hotel.
Disliked: Everything was fine for us

Room ok but not happy...

Liked: The communication with the hotel was good even if once there the person didn’t speak English. The family room is big enough.
Disliked: Even if the room seemed clean the bedsheets had huge stains on it. To add, the bedsheets were dark so there were probably even dirtier than what was visible. For a room without amenities at that price I would expect at least a clean bed.
