Liked: The location was fabulous just steps from the main square and easy to walk everywhere.

Beautiful hotel in a perfect...
Liked: Location couldn't have been better. Literally a stones throw from the old town centre. Room was huge, roughly twice what you'd expect from a 5 star hotel in the UK and at half the price too kinda blows your mind really. The decor is a really nice mix of very old architecture blended with a modern sort of industrial style, it works really nicely with a consistent design throughout the hotel - like the furnihings and doors are all this lovely distressed wood style for example. It might sound weird but the room just smelled nice too, in the way where you just automatically breath in and go 'Oh it smells so nice in here' every time you get back.Staff were friendly and helpful. Entire hotel was absolutely spotless so obviously very well kept. Spa is included in the room price and was really nice, with a steam room and sauna and a decent sized pool for once - been to a few other hotels in Krakow with pools not much larger than a bath so it was nice to get one you can actually swim in. It was really nice we went every night after dinner for a swim. Real candles kept lit at all times around the pool and in the salt room were a really lovely touch and just made it even more relaxing.Food was excellent, recommend trying the resteraunt at least once which is pricy but very high end and worth it for a treat. An impressive selection of wine too but unfortunately the wife is up the duff so couldn't sample that like we normally would. Breakfast was great, great choice of cheese and cold meats, basically everything you could ask for with a contintental breakfast. You can order thigns like eggs florentine and that sort of thing too. Obivously when travelling from the UK you inevitably miss having the option for a full English breakfast but that's to be expected.
Disliked: Very hard to pick a fault here. The only 2 issues we ran into were (and we're really reaching here to just find something to put in this box) somebody left an apple core on the floor in the spa and it was there for a good 2 hours so I suppose they could have a walk around in the spa a bit more often to spot things like that, because there's always going to be some dirty bugger who doesn't know how to use a bin sadly. That said, it was literally the only thing out of place so it's very nit picky! The other thing is when we woke up at 3am to get our early flight (urgh not fun) we had the strangest issue in the bathroom, in that there was no cold water. When my wife shouted the cold water was broken I first thought she was just being a bit of div still half asleep, or perhaps the mixer valve had failed on just one tap - until I tested all all taps and the bog which flushed with red hot water much to my amusement. Eventually got it running cold again. I suspect theres a very long run of cold pipe right up against a very hot pipe with no inuslation combined with the fact it was 3am so nobody was using any water at the time so it had time to heat up. Again this was a minor inconvenince that only really wasted 5 minutes of time so just nit picking for the sake of balance on this review to be honest.
