Disliked: 1. staff members speak only french2. hotel is diry3. bedsheets and towels were very old and in terrible condition4. water hardly got hot and not enough5. bathroom was so small that it was hard to use it6. there were hair on bathroom wall tiles7. there was no heating in hotel

Liked: Very nice staff. It is an old fashioned hotel. My room was tiny as expected in this price range for the center of Paris. Do not come here for the comfort.

Liked: As many reviews have mentioned, this is a step back in time, but it’s a good place to stay.The staff are friendly and helpful.Although they don’t speak much English and our French is poor, we managed to communicate just fine.As in most French hotels the room was quite small, but the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was spotless with a good shower and it was very quiet for a restful sleep.If you want something modern and upscale this is not for you.It was in a great location… walking distance to Montparnasse and St. German.there are 2 cafe’s close by… Judy’s delicious breakfast ( gluten free.. unusual for Paris) and a big coffeeand Bread and Roses, also a delish breakfast.
