Overpriced and under resourced

Greatly appreciate Hippy and the...
Liked: Great views from the hotel dining area and lobby (make sure to book room with lake view). Location is great with short walking distance to the boardwalk! Staff was very accommodating!
Disliked: Interior room view of the street with very low ceilings!

Liked: A lovely hotel with fantastic views from the dining room. A good breakfast although there was only filter coffee as standard. Any other coffee had an extra charge. The staff were very helpful
Disliked: The car parking was expensive at $40 a day.

Not a 5-star location, no...
Liked: Location near city-center of Queenstown. Staff is very friendly. Concierge service was excellent. Parking and food bill were refunded because of the problems with the room.
Disliked: This is a 5-star hotel but does not have airconditioning. Although outside temp was 15-16 degrees during nights. In the room never below 25 degrees. Although an extra fan in the room and the window open. We could order ice-bottles for in the bed?!?! The hallways/corridors were left open to the parking garage to cool the place. But this leads to a lot of exhaust gases in the corridors of the hotel. According to international rules 5-star hotels have obligatory AC in all rooms, also according to the ACCOR group. Maybe in cold month no issue but with global warming in Jan-March not an option to stay. Furthermore, we requested new sheets with a bed card not done by housekeeping. We also had some issues in the restaurant. So, in conclusions management and the ACCOR group in my view have a lot of work to do to get this hotel back to the level warranted by it star rating.
