Noise, poor management, and unprofessionalism

Liked: The spa was very nice.
Disliked: If you're coming to Barcelona looking for relaxation at a hotel with a spa, do not stay at this hotel. It's located near nightclubs, and there's a lot of noise at night. On top of that, we were called at 6 a.m. by reception, saying someone was looking for us (we don’t know anyone in Barcelona, let alone anyone who would know we were staying at this hotel). When the receptionist realized it was a mistake, we didn’t receive any apology or explanation. Furthermore, it is illegal for staff to confirm a guest’s stay to someone else (data protection, anyone?). Aside from the fright we got and the fact we couldn’t go back to sleep, the hotel offered no apology or compensation. Four stars? A complete scam. Don’t stay here.
