A Lovely Garden Room

Liked: We were given a very stylish and comfortable room on the ground floor with windows facing the back garden. It was a lovely, quiet room and the bed was super comfy. We really liked that there was 24-hour reception. The breakfast spread offered a wide choice, was freshly prepared and delicious. There was no electric kettle in our room, but we were able to get hot water for tea any time.

I had expected more.....

Liked: I had expected more from this hotel. I booked based on the quirky decor & wanted something different. The decor was a mis match that didnt sit well together, in my opinion. There were no coffee making facilities in the room & the night porter couldn't find a kettle. There were 2 single duvets on the double bed which we found strange. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast, whilst tasty was a bit limited & the coffee was not great. It's about 1.2km from the old town. A nice walk, if you fancy it!

Liked: Location was ideal. Very close to the friends who I was visiting and not too far from the station. The room was small but had everything necessary. I greatly appreciated having a balcony.

I’ve stayed here before and...

Liked: Breakfast was great, and I was happy to see the same breakfast staff ladies still here after a few years—they do a wonderful job.
Disliked: The only downside was the shower, which could use an update. The soap dish was rusty, and the curtain had a few stains, but aside from that, everything was well-maintained.
