Liked: Clean and in a quiet neighbourhood. Breakfast was basic but ok.
Disliked: 10/15 minute walk from tram stop wasn’t ideal but fortunately we had decent weather so it wasn’t quite so bad in the end.

Very pleasantly surprised

Liked: Pleasantly surprised by this hotel, tucked among residential buildings. A 10-mn walk to the light rail into town, we used it as our base for the Euro 2024 in Köln (Cologne). Our room was spacious, no A/C like in nearly all the budget hotels we stayed in Germany and France. Breakfast was amazing for its variety and freshness. Free private parking. Service-oriented desk agents who held our luggage for free until we came back in the afternoon. Exceptional value for the money!
Disliked: No restaurants around the hotel but they will gladly point to some places nearby like the Goldener Pflug where we had a wonderful German dinner. Grocery stores Aldi and Lidl are next to the restaurant.
