Liked: Everything was good except for Breakfast. Very poor value. Coffee by the cup and one had to go and find someone for a second cup. Only toastable bread. No fresh.

Liked: The room was huge with a seating area overlooking the back garden area. So comfortable and you could also buy a cup of freshly made espresso in the lobby!

Still the best hotel in...

Liked: Fantastic staff. Excellent breakfast (the fruit bowl with natural yogurt was exceptionally good). Great location (in the heart of the old town and yet super quiet). Spacious room. Basic but very good (and well priced) mini-bar. We have been to lots of hotels in Santiago over the years and the San Miguel remains our favourite one, by far.
Disliked: They only have one room with a double bed, so we almost always end up in a room with twin beds placed together, which is not ideal when traveling as a couple; and for some reason the beds move forward if you sit against the back to the bed when trying to read a book in bed, which is quite annoying. The bed legs might be quite slippery.

Disliked: We would have liked 1 English speaking channel on the TV ..if only to keep up with the news We could hear people in the next room and above us Perhaps we should have requested a higher floor
