Liked: location is great, room clean and quite. there is the balcony of the second floor with a great view of Bologna so you can enjoy the morning coffee. staff amazing. just please provide some slippers

Liked: Central location near to the main attractions in Bologna. Very helpful staff and a pleasant room. The hotel has a terrace where you can sit and enjoy a view of the medieval city.
Disliked: No complaints

A very good vacation and...

Liked: There are few hotels in the central part of Bologna‘s old city and the San Donato is very well located. The staff was friendly, confident, and very helpful in getting us around the city.
Disliked: The rooms, while as advertised, are painfully small— perhaps 120 ft.² The shower in our room, with no bath, was scarcely large enough for my very petite wife to turn around in. Our stay was in early April and the room was hot as the air conditioning was not operational. Pricing, while certainly determined by the market, seemed unreasonably high at $300+ per night for very basic accommodations.

Liked: location is tops, in the heart of the city. staff are very friendly and helpful. terrace with a view of towers and rooftops. traditional style.
Disliked: breakfast very good but a little expensive if you buy it at the hotel
