Comfortable chic boutique hotel

Liked: Breakfast very tasty, the location was good and the rooms were very comfortable. A quiet hotel and nice amenities like spare beach towels, umbrellas, beach bags.
Disliked: The check in was quite quick and impersonal, we were not given much information about the surrounding area or all of the hotels amenities. We were staying for our honeymoon and let the hotel know but there was no special dispensation to make our stay more special.

Lovely property with an authentic...

Liked: Hotel Julien is a charming, well maintained and updated historic property with an authentic French feel in the heart of Biarritz. Their breakfast is lovely and customized with eggs and coffee made to order. The property’s outdoor spaces are very nice and their bar/restaurant is open some evenings. As many have noted, the staff (seemingly all female) were exceptional.
Disliked: Although my room was comfortable, it is an old building with lovely hardwood wood floors so I could hear the guests above me much more than I would have liked. The receptionist offered to change my room after I mentioned it, but it didn’t seem worth the effort since I was only there two nights.
