Opened in 1866 the privately owned Hotel Sacher Salzburg is a grand historic hotel which combines timeless elegance and tradition with highest standard of service. It is centrally located on the banks of the Salzach River with magnificent and unique views of the historic old town and Hohensalzburg Fortress. Free Wi-Fi is available in the entire hotel. All rooms and suites are furnished in an individual fashion and offer state-of-the-art facilities. Each one has been personally decorated by Mrs. Elisabeth Gürtler the hotel's owner with a great love of details. Furnishings include original paintings and silk wallpapers. All rooms offer air conditioning a mini-bar and bathrobes. The restaurant Zirbelzimmer whose wooden paneling and elaborately carved ceilings are unique in Salzburg is a popular meeting place for gourmets. Restaurant Roter Salon is located on the footpath along the Salzach River and offers beautiful views of the old town and restaurant Salzachgrill serves barbecue specialties. The famous Café Sacher Salzburg serves the original Sacher cake in a characteristic Austrian coffee house ambiance with an elegant touch. Sacher Bar serves a wide range of drinks accompanied by live piano music.

Superb

Liked: Very satisfied with the service, the location is an excellent starting point for exploring the old town center. The breakfast is very tasty, everything is clean and well-maintained.
Disliked: However, the price for the stay is unfortunately quite high for the middle class.

Highly recommend.

Liked: The location, facilities, and staff were all amazing. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying here. We had a 4th floor suite with a balcony that was incredible.
Disliked: The only complaint I had was that the bedding duvet covers were 2 twins as opposed to 1 single king size sheet/cover. That was a bit odd and I found it kept coming off while I was sleeping.

One of the best hotel...

Liked: This is an outstanding hotel. Everything is of the highest quality - the room, the food and drinks, the service, the position - and the staff are unfailingly helpful.
Disliked: It’s expensive of course - quality costs - but it’s still good value for money.
