It’s ok, but definitely not...

Liked: The hotel is well located
Disliked: No elevators, it’s old , no outlets for chargers near the bed and very squishy floors

Brilliant hotel with lots of...

Liked: The hotel was full of character, in a brilliant location and to top it off Perry who checked us in was very friendly, informative and best of all really seemed to enjoy what he was doing. Nothing was too much for him and he helped make our stay a memorable one in New Orleans.
Disliked: Nothing apart from the parking was $50 a night but this is also understandable due to the location of the hotel.

Location was perfect, staff so...

Disliked: A little fridge would be useful

Wonderful place, great location

Liked: The location was great, the building was beautiful, the staff was great, and the view from the balcony was awesome. Only negative... The bed needed to be replaced, it was like laying in a flimsy hammock.

Unique stay buetiful old building...

Liked: We stayed for one night Perry at the front desk was exceptional full of information and tips.There are no elevators so Perry ran our suitcases up the stairs.Location is right in the French quarter so walk out the front door and you are in it.Rooms are clean bed is comfortable but it is an old building so the room we stayed in the floor where not level but it didn’t matter

Liked: I came to New Orleans to celebrate my birthday and staying at the Hotel Royal was an absolute pleasure and honor. When first arriving the staff was absolutely very friendly and informative of any and all questions I had about the city. If you do not like walking up steps with luggage please think twice about your stay here with there not being any elevators but the staff do offer to help carry them to your room. When looking for your room it’s like a maze. Opening the door to my room (CO7) it was beautiful and very clean. The ac units worked very well. My view from the balcony was great, especially if you’d like to have a morning coffee or just people watch throughout the day. Unfortunately they do not offer miniature fridges to store drinks or food in. If you’d like to have lunch or dinner here at the hotel definitely eat in the courtyard. Throughout the nights of my stay I have no complaints or issues with the noises disruptions of my sleep.

Exceptional

Liked: Lots of stairs to our room if you're hauling 50lb bags it's a workout. Other than that room was huge staff was great.

A unique and comfortable stay...

Liked: The front desk workers were really nice and helpful Perry at the front desk always had a smile on his face and was very friendly to guests. The courtyard is beautiful and was a reasonable priced hotel.
Disliked: The toilet within our room had a small internal leak which meant it kept filling up every 10 minutes or so.
