Located in an authentic Frisian farmhouse this small-scale hotel provides you with spacious pleasant rooms and a beautiful garden with a tree orchard. Relax in the Finnish sauna. Dating back to 1867 the characteristic residence of Hotel & Restaurant Weidumerhout offers a homely base in the beautiful Frisian countryside not far from the city of Leeuwarden. Wake up each morning with fresh seasonal products from the breakfast buffet. The breakfast buffet costs €1250 per person. Make use of the free internet connection to check your e-mails. Besides the 10 room located at the farm house there are also 10 luxurious guests rooms in the form of a cube with floor to ceiling glass windows to guarantee an outdoor experience and view of the green surroundings. These cubes are made with durable materials. The bar lounge located in one of the old stables offers a warm atmosphere for having an original Frisian beer or a glass of wine. The property features a restaurant with beautiful Frisian regional products. Weather permitting the outside terrace is a wonderful place to unwind and admire the garden and orchard. The surroundings are rich with hiking and cycling routes through the characteristic Dutch landscape. After a pleasant day you can treat yourself to a private session in the sauna (on request).

Lovely hotel! Unexpected great sauna

Liked: I loved the cheap, private sauna that you can rent out. And I loved the concept of a isolated unit with a view. I also liked the overall service of the staff. We were offered to be brought to our nearby dinner reservation when we had no other modes of transport. Very kind of them.
Disliked: the only thing is that it gets slightly cold even with the heat at full blast. I think you would need to request an extra blanket

Do stay here if you...

Liked: We decided to pay little extra for the outside room with a view. I can only recommend others to do that. The view was amazing and we got to look at some hares playing outside our windows. The room was decent size and the bed comfortable.
Disliked: Would have liked a bit bigger breakfast selection for the price.

Just perfect farm hotel getaway

Liked: This was an amazing stay, the outside pod cabins are super nice and the view is out of this world!The staff are so friendly and nice, always smiling and very helpful.The breakfast is awesome, all local and home made products, they even requested halal meat for us from the supplier which was so considerate of them. We loved out stay there.
Disliked: Very minimal if you are looking for perfection, probably if the toilet bidet was working which is a bonus in the first place.I don't have really negatives to say as it was just a great experience.
