Liked: The breakfast was nice. We had the bagel/egg/ bacon with OJ, coffee/tea.
Disliked: The heating wasn't right. It was on and too hot with no way to turn it down but to turn the air on to cool the room down a bit. Counter productive. Sound- proofing was poor as we could hear people coming up the stairs.

no babies allowed
Disliked: they didnt allow us to sleep there because we have a baby. it was very difficult for us to find a last minute hotel and he had to go by car like 20 mins for another hotel. it was already 6 pm when we knew that they will not let us in. it is so weird why booking.com allowed this reservation to happen!

Passable
Liked: Location is next to landmark historic landmark / park Plains of Abraham . 5 mins away from Cartier Avenue where there is a small strip mall with upscale French Delis and a couple of decent restaurants and a SAQ ( alcohol store ) on Cartier street as well. A 20 minute walk to historic old city. with high end restaurants on the way.
Disliked: Very steep staircase to ascend/ descend especially if you have luggage or not mobile enough . Tricky if you are not wearing the right footwear . No restaurant or at least a coffee pot in the room but you get coupons to a legendary French deli in the strip mall on Cartier street , but you would need to dress appropriately on a cold winters day and walk 5 mins just for your early morning coffee ( note : the mall opens at 9 am ).

Perfect location and good value...
Liked: The staff are super friendly and helpful. The location is perfect—just a 15-minute walk from Old Quebec. The room was clean, cozy, and warm. The breakfast is well-organized—you go to a café outside the hotel, but the meal itself, especially the coffee, is excellent. There's also an opportunity to take beautiful postcards from the hotel and send them to your loved ones
Disliked: There are two things that weren’t very comfortable:1. The toilet behind the curtain—literally. There are no walls; the bathroom is set up in a former corridor. It is separated from the room by a curtain on one side and a translucent partition on the other. This setup is suitable only for well-established relationships if you’re traveling with someone.2. Our room was on the ground floor, and the noise from the upstairs neighbours was significant, so earplugs are a must.
