Liked: Location allowed us to do alot of exploring on foot .
Disliked: The box breakfast was over priced. The staff at the hotel allowed us to deal with it, So all turned out good.

Very good
Disliked: The climate control was set by the hotel, unable to individually control in the room. As a result, we were forced to open the windows to get cooler. Mosquitoes swarmed in and we got bitten all over.

Fantastic Location and Spotless Comfort,...
Liked: I recently stayed at the Chic&Basic Redding Hotel in Barcelona, and while the hotel itself was pleasant, the service left much to be desired. On the positive side, the location is fantastic—right in the heart of the city and close to the red and green metro lines as well as several bus routes. This made getting around Barcelona incredibly easy, with many major attractions just a short ride or walk away.The hotel’s cleanliness was also noteworthy. Both the rooms and common areas were spotless, and my room was cleaned daily with fresh towels provided. Another highlight was the availability of good quality coffee and tea 24/7 in the common areas, which was a nice touch for guests. Breakfast to go was also available upon request.
Disliked: My experience with the front desk staff was disappointing. Unlike the people of Barcelona in general, they were the most unfriendly hotel staff I have ever encountered. From the moment we arrived, we were neither greeted nor welcomed, and when we left, there was no thank you or goodbye. Every time I needed information, I felt as if I had to pry it out of them, which made every interaction uncomfortable.Additionally, the hotel requires upfront payment upon arrival, which, while financially logical, felt impersonal and gave an impression of mistrust. It made the check-in process feel transactional rather than welcoming, adding to the sense of being unwelcome.
