Lovely hotel, charming staff great...

Liked: Breakfast was amazing , such a great choice from local dishes to fried options, yoghurt fresh fruit and juice and “ weirdly” option vodka to go along with fresh juice and Prosecco if that floats your boat , but all amazing .Hotelwas fine with great soap and showers/ body creams only slight complaint was other guest noise due to , well I’m sure, being a hotel.Good for travelling with a. Metro not far away
Disliked: Lifs not working at various times, not great for elderly people.Sports bar tried on first night due to late arrival and food was so cold had to send back and not any better unfortunately

Liked: Most of the staff are friendly (encountered 1rude lady on reception on checkin) The food is lovely however the breakfast area needs to be expanded to avoid the morning queues
Disliked: Please don’t be tight and give customers some coffee sachets in the room. Your expensive nespreso pods is too much for someone who drinks 2 coffee’s before leaving the room £5 before breakfast x 2 people is a no no Also PLEASE stop the smokers below bedrooms as the smoke comes into the bedrooms.

Disliked: Breakfast room was always very busy, suggest the diners attend early.

Liked: It was adequate, rooms were clean We found a cooking class walking distance from the hotel which was nice
Disliked: I waited about 15 to 20 min to check in as there was just no one at reception.This is not a 5 star, it’s a 4 star at best -carpets are not that clean.Breakfast is an issue, long lines to go in, feel cramped - so make sure you time it well ( there are signs at reception to advise on when peak breakfast times are). Could also be that I was there when a fashion conference was taking place and night of been more crowded than usual, not sure

Liked: Really bad. Dirty rooms, really bad breakfast. Only place you are allowed to sit in is a little room without windows. Not allowed to go outside. Claustrofobia.

Liked: Breakfast was good. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Disliked: The gym was pretty tired. Equipment out of order, and really not fit for purpose. It would be better not to have it rather than advertise a fitness suite that is well past its sell by date. The restaurant serves good food but the vegetarian options were limited. The gnocchi dish was rather bland and the food on arrival was cold. Fish lovers need to be reminded that it is not the custom in Portugal to remove the fish bones. So a haddock dish leaves you concerned that you’re going to choke on a fish bone. No doubt if I had complained the cold dish of food would have been replaced. However one is not always comfortable highlighting a problem as it often can be misunderstood as looking for some kind of compensation.
