Beautifully designed, cozy hotel in...

Liked: Wonderfully designed, cozy hotel in the heart of Vienna, within a short walk from essential amenities, public transportation, and the city’s top attractions. Every room and its features are inspired by local wineries, adding a unique and special touch to the stay. The staff are friendly and always ready to assist. I would gladly stay here again. Highly recommended!

Exceptional

A reliable and friendly hotel

Liked: It is my third or fourth time staying at this property. I like the location, the feeling of being in an old traditional building, the spacious rooms, the amenities and the friendly personnel.. There are some lovely touches such as coffee and tea available for free for guests all day, the bell to ask for help at the bottom of the flight of stairs leading to reception and free apples to take when you leave the hotel.
Disliked: The rooms are not very new anymore and some wear and tear shows. Most disappointing is that breakfast is now charged at EUR23 per person per day. Just not worth it. Wine selection at the bar was a bit limited when I was there.

A uniquely designed hotel in...

Liked: The hotel offers some uniquely designed rooms that are very comfortable, clean and spacious. The staff was very polite and helpful. The WiFi was fast. It was also reasonably priced given its high quality.
Disliked: Location-wise the hotel is a bit far from the centre, but Vienna has excellent public transport so this is no issue. The fact that the toilet is separated from the rest of the WC is sometimes inconvenient as one needs to cross the room to wash their hands. The room temperature was a bit lower than I am used to and it didn't seem to raise when I turned on the heating.

Liked: Our room was big and nice. The breakfast was excellent and luxurious. The staff was super nice!

Lots to like about this...

Liked: Very nice, professional staff. Interesting looking rooms. Nice garden courtyard. Some would say an extensive, good breakfast. Good wifi. Good location for accessing the center of Vienna.
Disliked: Pretty expensive for what you get. Rooms place "form over function." They're interesting, uniquely decorated and good size, but not practical in many ways. For example, I've stayed in 2 different rooms and neither had electric outlets next to (or anywhere near) the bed–very inconvenient. The entry side of the bath/shower combination is MUCH too high and clearly dangerous when entering and exiting. I'm fit and flexible and still worried each time I used the shower. Only 1 bath towel, 1 hand towel were provided. Nice to save electricity and you can ask for more, but again inconvenient to have to ask, e.g. if you arrive after a long flight, shower and then want to shower again the next morning it would be nice (and appropriate) to have a dry towel without having to ask for one. Bottom line: Lots to like about this hotel, lots to not like so much.
