xenophobic hotel manager

Liked: The hotel is well connected between Essen Hbf and Zollverein
Disliked: Terrible customer service, I've called the hotel to extend the reservation by 1 night. By phone, the hotel confirmed this change, but when we arrived at the hotel, the reception manager didn't have any idea about this extension. Instead of acknowledging the problem and the miscommunication, she scalated the situation, totally denying the change and creating an estreful situation after a long trip. She charged an unrealistic rate for a single room... Not enough with this. She was xenophobic, and in the breakfast buffet, it was located an information lettering only in our mother tongue to accuse us of taking food. That lettering was focused only on one nationality... She was aware that we speak German and English, there were more guests in the hotel but she decided to provide this information only in a foreign language. I would like to clarify that the hotel staff was polite. It was just the reception manager who has 0 hospitality skills. The windows are not well isolated, and you can hear the traffic and the tram.
