Great hotel and would stay...

Lovely, old-fashioned gem!

Liked: The hotel itself is unassuming from the outside but really lovely as soon as you walk through the doors. The staff are around 24/7 and very happy to help with anything. The rooms were very clean and tidy. We were so happy that we tried to book a second night there but unfortunately they were fully booked. Would recommend them any day!
Disliked: Loved everything but the only small issue is for tall/larger people. For someone who is quite average, the shower we had was very small and it was quite difficult to turn around in. The beds are not extra length and for my husband it was not very comfortable having bars at the ends of the bed. This will surely not affect everyone and is certainly not a reason for us to not stay in the hotel again.

Disliked: The beds and pillows were hard. Very typical of German hotels and some north Italy hotels , but it’s incredibly uncomfortable.

Great place for family with...

Liked: The front desk staff were so nice and kind. The room was very large and clean. We had tons of storage for our many suitcases and its a 5 mins walk with luggage to the biggest train station in Florence. Making travel super easy. Also the breakfast was amazing. Huge selection and even the pickiest eater would find something yummy. The veranda was gorgeous and a wonderful place to enjoy your morning meal with a view.
Disliked: The front door was a little hard to find but that was because our taxi driver went too far past.

Cozy and beautiful hotel

Liked: Very good location, close to the Santa Maria Novella Church and the train station.Room has a beautiful ceiling, and it was decorated the way it use to be when people actually lived in the palace.PErsonal very kind and helpful.
Disliked: Not enough sockets to plug cellphone chargers and anti-mosquito devices at once.

Nice and centric hotel

Liked: The service, the personal was very kind.The view from the window, we could watch the Basilica de Santa Maria Novella, from the room we were this 2nd time.Nice breakfast venue, should be nice during warmer seasons.
Disliked: One of the staff came into our bedroom while we were inside, despite he knocked before, he should hear the tv on from outside. This was the only issue I can mention.

Superb
