Liked: Location downtown OTTUMWA Great, Staff Great,Building has lots of potential, but smoking, carpets need to be cleaned at least a good 4 times carpet extracted or completely changed out, beds were decent, lights extremely dim, an odd ordor through out the entire hotel, musty moving towards moldy smell. Like I said, investment for renovations, upgrade the old dive bar on first floor, make it a MODERN dive bar, maybe ax throwing or newer sports bar type. Attract young people there, seems like it's more of a seniors bingo with liquor place, smoking

Liked: Location is good. I also like they provide a real breakfast, not just a muffin and juice. The bed was comfortable as well.
Disliked: Very old building, rooms are super outdated and the building did have a musty smell. The pillows were small and lumpy.

Liked: Very old hotel but very clean, comfortable, affordable, and friendly staff. Great breakfast was included. In the center of Ottumwa so conveniently located.
Disliked: Bathrooms were a little outdated but still very clean and functional.
