Liked: I love the ambience and feel of the hotel. The renovations done years ago were so well done that they'll be timeless. You get the benefit of the historical charm, along with the upgrades to modern conveniences and style so it's the best of both worlds.

Liked: This is a wonderful historic hotel. We stayed here because it is less than 2 blocks from the theatre. We stay here to see the plays that are showing. It's a short, safe walk in the evening after the play to get back to the hotel. The hotel is an old bank and when you walk into the lobby, you can still see the giant open bank vault. The room was spectacular, clean, the beds incredibly comfortable. It is right in the little downtown heart of Sioux Falls where much is going on and there are many places to eat, shop, have coffee and people-watch. There is a lovely diner a block away, the hotel is right on the river and if you are into the arts, there are sculptures all along the street with a map you can download.
Disliked: Parking is tight but doable. Most people up here have big trucks and ours was a bit of a squeeze.
