Liked: The hosts are very nice and friendly. Francesco introduced the local transportation for sightseeing and recommended restaurants. Room is clean and comfy. The location is close to the fontana de travi, very convenient for travelling.

Liked: Everything location was brilliant to all sightseeing in Rome. Local restaurants were great and prices for both hotel and restaurants incredible after a lot of horror stories about other people getting ripped off in city centre eateries. Hotel felt like home from home - staff incredible special shout out to Mario, Frederick & Carla. We stayed 2 nights before a cruise and then came back for 3 and immediately welcomed back such a nice touch which you simply don’t get anymore. Hotel was impeccably clean and comfortable. We will be back on another visit to Rome in the future for sure - hidden gem this hotel.

Walkable distance to many sights,...

Liked: Easily accessible via walking from Rome Termini station, however the cobblestone and footpaths with large holes were a struggle, so those with large or heavy roller suitcases beware. Very friendly staff throughout our stay at reception and every breakfast. Seated breakfast with attentive staff bringing provisions to your table and providing juice and coffee as requested.
Disliked: There was a single lift servicing the whole building, with the hotel located on the 4th floor, lots of steps otherwise. Surprised by the tall 4 steps at the front entrance of the building which would be quite difficult with heavy suitcases or those with mobility issues. Cleaners started cleaning very early in the morning prior to 8am which was a very quick awakening, especially difficult when they are having full conversations just outside your door or vaccumming.

Pleasant stay with lovely staff...

Liked: Hotel Oceania is in a good location near the train station, metro, Baths of Diocletian, and lots of restaurants. Our room consisted of a bedroom and a sitting room and a good sized bathroom. The bed was very comfortable and the staff were extremely nice and helpful. They are at the desk 24 hours and ask that you leave your keys when going out (we found this true in some of the other hotels we stayed in through Italy). Since they were always present this caused no issues and it was nice to not worry about the key! The breakfasts were good with very nice staff there also. The hotel is not new but everything was clean and comfortable. We did have a little problem with hot water but the staff got on it right away and we enjoyed strong, warm showers after that. There is an elevator to use as the hotel is 4 floors up ( 3rd floor but they start with Floor 0). We walked down but usually rode up! This was a nice, pleasant hotel in a good location with really lovely staff.

Liked: This was a lovely, unpretentious hotel with personal attention to decor and service. In particular all the staff were warm, friendly, and helpful.
Disliked: Wi-fi not great but manageable.

Excellent hotel in great location

Liked: Family owned and run, this hotel had exceptional customer service. Friendly and attentive hotel staff. The breakfast was table service and included a cornucopia of breakfast items which really filled us up and fueled us for the day. It was great. The room was large and comfortable, as was the bathroom. Location was great, away from the busier touristy areas (so it was nice and quiet) but close enough to walk. We walked to most everything except the Vatican, but the hotel is also close to a metro station, so that is easy to take as well. AND it had an elevator up to the third floor where the hotel was located. You should stay here!
