Lovely inside

Liked: On the inside this hotel was fabulous. The room was large and comfortable and there was a good shower. The bar area was big and well-decorated and there was a nice terrace as well. The reception and bar staff were helpful and friendly.
Disliked: On the outside you would never guess this was so nice inside. The hotel's exterior and the street and area it is in were dirty and downbeat and I didn't feel totally comfortable outside at night. The hotel advertises a lift but there is a whole flight of stairs to climb to get up to the entrance.The breakfast is 22 EUR per person for a small buffet. There is much better value to be had in the many restaurants in town.As with so many hotels these days, despite a large room there was no dressing table.

Liked: Excellent room layout. Great walk in shower. Very very quiet! Comfortable bed. Soft lighting.
Disliked: This did not matter to us but there was not a mini fridge.

Superb

Liked: Elegant public areas with clean, modern, comfortable bedrooms, an excellent central location, friendly and helpful staff and a good breakfast.
Disliked: Finding the Car Park is complicated, but there's not much the hotel can do about this. Montpelier isn't the easiest of places to drive.

A delightful stay with friendly...

Liked: We arrived very late due to a delayed flight, but the night concierge was incredibly friendly and helpful, getting us into our room quickly and efficiently.
Disliked: We would have liked to enjoy a glass of wine on arrival, but unfortunately, the bar was closed, and the night concierge wasn’t able to assist. The room was also a bit smaller than expected.

Disliked: Hard to access the hotel with a car, took quite some time to find a car park as lots of road closures, but obviously not the hotel’s fault.
