Liked: Conveniently located near the mainland to Newfoundland ferry crossing. Hotel was clean and comfortable.
Disliked: Given its locale near the last place to stay before the ferry service off the mainland to Newfoundland, and the number of guests that stayed at the hotel, the number of staff working was far less than required for the number of guests. When we called for room service, the lone restaurant worker answered the phone and asked us to hold on for “a second”. That second lasted 20 minutes! I hung up and called back and was never answered. As I happen to be diabetic, and I counted on food service from the hotel, while I was in hold, I walked down to the restaurant and interacted with the lone worker to finally get served.

Liked: Travelled from mainland Nova Scotia to Newfoundland via ferry service. Stayed at Hotel North the night before ferry crossing as a couple with 2 veteran service dogs. Accommodation was very convenient and comfortable for all 4 of us. Staff was very friendly and food service was on point and fast!
