Liked: Staff was wonderful and the hotel did have an old "Hollywood" vibe to it.
Disliked: The walls are definitely too thin and the location, though ideal for my purpose, was also around some of what might be considered not so good - lots of homeless, garbage on the streets and graffiti.

Immediately upon arrival, valet was very courteous and helpful. Once in the hotel, the lobby decorum was the first thing we noticed - so beautiful and the historic atmosphere was a pleasure to take in. We were greeted by a professional staff who answered all of our questions, even providing some historical facts about the hotel. The room was not bad, but it felt as if it was missing something. Maybe adding a couple more pieces of art on the walls or even a small drawer/chest for guests to unpack. The room was clean and comfortable, and pretty quiet for a Saturday night. The only real negative thing I noticed was the slow shower drain, but it was not actually stopped up. Right after turning off the water, it drained fairly quickly, but I didn't like water pooling up around me. We loved that the Cassel restaurant was located on the premises and enjoyed our food. The staff was super friendly and they all seemed to enjoy their jobs. The hotel was located in the heart of Koreatown. We took a brief walk around the local neighborhood and enjoyed the sights on our stroll. The nightlife there seemed to be really active, but pleasant. The location of the hotel was was super close to The Orpheum, where we attended a play. We would stay here again.
Liked: Architecture and decorum.
Disliked: No workout room on actual premises, but within walking distance.

Old Hollywood glamour; nice staff. Historic hotel with a wonderful, peaceful vibe. Will stay again when in LA.

Quaint hotel but grossly overpriced given the location and facilities. Took the hotel staff 4 days to move me to another
Liked: The decor was nice
Disliked: The location wasnt great. There were minimal facilities in the hotel and it was quite noisy. It took a while for the reception to acknowledge a fault with the air conditioning in my room
