WARNING! DO NOT STAY AT...

Liked: The staff was absolutely terrific. All very kind, and as efficient as they could be under the circumstances. Location was convenient to train station.
Disliked: The noise was catastrophic. The hotel hosts a nightclub every Fri and Sat night, and the deafening, wall-shaking sound carries well beyond the club itself. There is no soundproofing whatsoever, and my hotel room was uninhabitable till 2:00 am, when the club finally shut down. A white-noisemaker (phone app) made absolutely no dent in the throbbing sound. (Lack of soundproofing also meant I could clearly hear people in room next to mine and in the hallway, even though they were obviously speaking at normal levels.) The staff apologized and apologized, but they were unable to move me since the hotel was fully booked.The next morning I begged for removal, and by noon, the very sympathetic staff had transferred me to a room on the 5th floor. Though the noise from the club was still detectable, it was easily overcome by the white noisemaker.Having resolved the noise problem, I settled in to do some work - and discovered there was no internet. Nothing I called the front desk for help...and they promised to look into it...but it was never fixed. I settled in to watch some TV, and discovered there were FAR fewer channels available than in most other hotels. Lots of news stations. Some sports, but not much else.DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL - certainly not on a Friday or Saturday night!
