Very good

Liked: The hotel owner and staff were brilliant. They went out of their way to accommodate us.They gave us free waffle since it's was Eid.
Disliked: It is in the heart of the city.If you don't like noise then it wasn't for you. This is good for young travellers who likes a nightlife and easy access.

Exceptional

Liked: The staff were very helpful. Especially the owner, who is also working as the manager, is a fantastic host, very supportive, friendly, and competent. The hotel is significantly unique and very rich in Moroccan royal flavours. Not to forget that the Hotel is located in the hear of the city, and 3 minutes walking to the Central Train Station.I look forward to staying there again, and highly recommend it.
Disliked: The only thing I suggest to improve is to offer an open dish type of breakfast.

Location is great all the...

Liked: Location and comfy bed
Disliked: Moldy room, stale tobacco smell in the room, loud cleaning staff that kept on shouting while cleaning like the sleep and rest of the guests in the early hours of the morning was an afterthought. Thin walls, ceilings made of wood so you can actually hear the other shoe drop above you. First time I actually do not recommend a hotel.

I love this property and...

Liked: The hotel is beautiful. Although old it had great charm. The staff are fantastic! Will stay here in all my future trips to Brussels!
Disliked: My original room was on the street side and it was pretty noisy. I asked to be moved and was accommodated to a very quiet inner room.

Brussels is great but hotel...

Liked: The location is 40m from Grand Place / Grote Markt .. In other words from rail station Grand Central is 10min walking to hotel and the famous square is just behind the corner. This is the ONLY positive feature.
Disliked: Where to start - the list will be long- Entire hotel is improvisation where business model is " make it as cheap as possible" - BREKFAST - shame to see in the center of Brussels peace of dry croissant and bread. Marmalade cheapest as possible, full of sugar and additives. Something called cheese (again cheapest) and butter. That was all. We are in 21st century and this breakfast is pale reflections breakfasts served in 60ies XX century. Nice to travel back in time but at least the quality should be on a plate. I am eating gluten free food so for me was horrible and allergy symptoms appeared. - SPACE - very narrow even architects in Japan and Singapore could learn. I am sarcastic of course. Corridors are so small and with stairs that is not for people with disabilities and older. - ROOM - first rooms are split with some sort of carton and you can literally hear when somebody snoring. Isolation is so poor that all noise from the street comes to you. In the night is horrible. I checked windows and - thin glass what is used to protect chickens in the garden from rain and wind. - ROOM FACILITY - so many cables around, cheapest solution. Bed improvised with madras so bad that you cannot sleep properly. Bed is actually both on second hand market as none of beds in hotel are the same. Blanket is synthetic I did not touch it. Heating works only half as there is a air bulb in the system. - BATHROOM - very poor assembled of cheapest ... for instance in the bathroom plastic glasses. Management never heard about microplastics influence so ... I had to drink water from hand. Very much improvised cabin ... horrible ... Warm water you wait 5min before is normalized.
