Liked: The location is excellent, the staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast was amazing. A lovely atmosphere in the whole hotel.
Disliked: The bathroom is rather small but is adequate.

Liked: It had been our favourite hotel in Freiburg for many years, but now everything is there very old. Too old. Furniture, beds, doors, windows, curtains… it is impossible to pay 208 euro pro night for such hotel. Only 100 euro.Breakfast is now also very very bad. It was nothing to eat. Only müsli and cheese with bread. No vegetables at all. No pastry, any bakery at all. Nothing sweetness at all.Personal is very rude and impolite. They don’t understand anything about calm atmosphere in the hotel. They shout, scream and throw dish around you during breakfast.
Disliked: The owner from the hotel is too tired now and don’t have any wish or power to do his best for doing this business

Liked: Breakfast buffet was excellent.
Disliked: I had a room on the top floor and it’s just not equipped to deal with the hot weather. Already checking in it was 30 degrees outside and because they left the window open or because the room just is not insulated well towards the roof, i had 30 degrees in the room. I closed the window because i knew it would get hotter still. Unfortunately when i went to bed at 22h, i had 32 degrees in the room. With no air conditioning, i grabbed 2 of the fans that were standing in the hallway and set them up so one would blow cool air from outside my window (perched on the windowsill) and one would blow air at me in the bed. Despite this setup it barely got cooler and the noise from the fans also contributed to a terrible night. In the morning it was still 28 degrees in the room although outside it had cooled to 22 during the night.
