Close to the cathedral and...

Liked: Clean, comfortable beds for sleeping
Disliked: Having to take the elevator and then another flight of stairs with our luggage to top of floor...awkward to carry up the steep stairs

A pleasant single room conveniently...

Liked: The room was very pleasant, comfortable and everything worked well.
Disliked: It was a little noisy, due to being next to a busy road.

Very expensive for what is...

Liked: The staff were friendly and helpful
Disliked: The first room we were offered was noisy and the bed lights did not work.The Wi-Fi did not work.

A basic hotel, in need...

Liked: This is an old-style hotel, but dont be put off.You dont go on a trip to spend time in a hotel room.It was well located, and close to everything.The book-in staff were very friendly, but there was no-one present from 10pm.It was comfortable and I slept well.
Disliked: The book-out staff were brusque.Air-con weas not present and is a necessity.Breakfast was very basic, and filled a hole.Decort is old fashioned and needs revamping - but don't be put off. It was comfy.

I enjoyed it

Liked: The location for me was perfect as I was visiting Germany, Holland and Belgium by railway network The hotel was 5 minutes away from Cologne central station

A good place to stay...

Liked: Very good location. Easy to find. Very close to Koln HBF. I had a single room which was a reasonable size, and a good bathroom.
Disliked: Nothing to dislike really. A kettle in the room to make hot drinks would have been good.
