It did the job just...
Liked: The location is cool. Not historic Naples but close to the sea and Posilipo. The hotel is old fashioned but cute and the staff are friendly and helpful. Very clean and generous provision of linens. Breakfast is basic but the signora makes damn good coffee <3
Disliked: A lot of guests have mentioned the room deodorizer/mosquito repellent device that really permeates the air. As in many Neapolitan houses it might be used to cover humid or moldy smells. We unplugged the device and left the door open shutters locked and that helped a bit. If the street gets noisy there’s AC and the windows have good sound insulation.

Great location. Comfortable with very...
Liked: Great location - just a 5 minute walk to Mergellina metro station. Mergellina itself is a very safe, pleasant and upmarket neighbourhood with lots of good restaurants and bars. The hotel staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean. The wifi was excellent. A very comfortable and convenient place to stay. For the price, Hotel Mergellina offers excellent value for money.

Fair option in good location
Liked: Very clean, good linen and towels; nice shower and room size. Close to metro/train station, restaurants, supermarket.
Disliked: Very noisy street, ask for a room facing back. The mattress has to be changed. Breakfast could have some more healthy itens like cheese, natural juice and whole bread instead of sugary itens.

Good
Liked: Staff were very helpful and friendly. They made you feel right at home. It was a great location close to the water, restaurants, and shops.
Disliked: The shower was too small, not enough room. The PowerPoint's were old and had trouble with our charger for the phone.

Liked: The hotel itself was beautiful. I wish we could have stayed longer. We will definitely stay here again when we come back

Peaceful, accessible, authentic and completely...
Liked: The breakfast is a typical Italian breakfast. There are no savory options so you are free to immerse yourself in Neopolitan life as you awake.
Disliked: If you are looking for the bustle of Neopolitan life just outside your window then there are places closer to town, but for me this was the perfect destination as the bus stop is just outside and the Metro is just around the corner. Most importantly for me there was a fantastic small supermarket opposite. I wish we had some of those where I live. You could get anything there as long as it was delicious. For me it was invaluable for sunlotion and water bottles etc. but they had the best delicatessen I have ever known.

Nice and central located hotel...
Liked: Central location, clean room and comfortable beds. Quiet. Good size of the room. Very friendly and service minded staff. We got to check in early and they also arranged for breakfast early as we had a departure very early in the morning.
Disliked: Nothing

Exceptional
Liked: The hotel is located in a safe zone of Naples , and also at 4 min walking distance to the nearest metro station, so we could really explore the city. The staff are very friendly and professional, so from the minute we walked through the doors of the hotel, we felt really safe. Although Naples has a bad reputation we really didn't seem to have any issues. The bed is comfy , everything is clean, the AC works really well, so we didn't feel the torrid days of july. The breakfast: a surprise! A sweet lady brings you a good croissant and joghurt, ham, cheese and capuccino. You can choose also fruits or cereal. Really enjoyed our experience here
Disliked: 1. It can get a little noisy because of the thin walls( i think this applies to the most buildings of naples) 2. the shower cabin is a little small
