Hotel under renovation (construction noise)

Liked: The hotel is well-located with several stores like OXXO and street food just across the street, the staff is very kind, the cleanliness of the room was optimal, and the interior design of rooms is as shown on pictures. In my opinion, current construction is deliberately omitted not to lose bookings, but this is NOT fair with guests who paid relatively high prices for a hotel running under proper conditions and arrive to find such a big surprise…
Disliked: The hotel is under renovation, and this is not mentioned on Booking.com or other platforms. It was a surprise upon check in to see construction of the elevator in the middle of the hotel, construction workers going up and down the stairs and dirty carpets all over. I stayed for 3 nights and paid an average of 900 MXN ($45 USD), which in my opinion was way too high for tolerating the inadequate conditions of the hotel. Note this situation will go on for another 6 MONTHS (probably UNTIL END OF 2025).

The location was under construction...

Disliked: The location was under construction and quite messy/dirty as a result. It was also loud during the day as a result which if we had known, would not have booked it.

Disliked: Construction in centre of lobby, tried to have a nap in the afternoon but couldn’t due to loud banging

Disliked: There was renovation happening so it was noisy and not fully clean in the common areas

Liked: Room as very clean at a decent price. Good shower.
Disliked: Very thick pillows that were as hard as rock. Mattress was a bit too firm. Windows were cracked open & it was a cold night. No heat in room. Early morning traffic noise. Construction in hotel - no noise but drop cloths all over lobby & hallways. Hard to believe had very good rating for 3 star hotel. I'd consider it "Good" at best.
