Hotel Maison du Général, Quebec City

Very good

Liked: Great location, clean and overall served our needs. Good breakfast included at the resto next door. The rooms are small and there is no elevator but it wasn't an issue for us as we only stayed one night. I definitely wouldn't consider it for a longer term stay (more than 3 nights)
Disliked: They don't really have luggage storage I guess, but when I explained it was one backpack for a couple of hours after checkout, they did agree. I did see a couple of other small bags as well.

Enjoyable stay, but would recommend...

Liked: The rooms are very pretty and a great location within the city.
Disliked: The front desk staff was never around. This caused a few issues for us.

Dissatisfied and angry that they...

Liked: We left after seeing the accommodation we would have to find parking nearby and pay extra there was no breakfast after it said online there was a breakfast that was part of the reason we booked and after speaking to the person to contact that evening for any issues they would not give a refund .so we left and found another hotel for our stay

Jovial stay in the heart...

Liked: Overall the stay was excellent, everything was as expected. The room was great for our stay and the facilities all worked well. The location was unbeatable and was very cosy. We loved the hotel as a whole and would recommend it to others.
Disliked: The check-in experience was degraded by the awful attitude of the boy who gave us our keys. I'm not sure if there was a language barrier and misunderstanding when we walked in or what, but we were able to converse and all information was understood both ways. I would not stay here again due to this experience. He acted as if we were ruining his day by being there and was completely miserable to both of us.
