Good experience
Liked: Just around the block from train station, in a small street, close to a great supermarket, close to the tour bus stop, so close to everything. Definitely will come back here next time I go to Florence. Bedroom had plenty room, bar fridge, kettle, good pressure of water in the shower, clean. Looks exactly like the photos we saw online.

Bad hotel near city center
Liked: Near city center and main station
Disliked: Air conditioning didn't work. Hot showers didn't work. Could not change rooms as the hotel was fully booked, but no repairs were made during 5-night stay. Very noisy room (no isolation, could hear everything in other rooms and in hotel lobby, all night long). Staff not fluent in English. Although it is not the hotel's fault, the street of the hotel smells of piss and at night there is trash everywhere from the homeless

Location to city shops, sightseeing...
Liked: Location to the station and hop-on-hop-off bus perfect. It has a small lift to get your cases to the first floor. There’s a minibar with a variety of drinks and a buffet breakfast.
Disliked: It is on the small side. The ceilings are tall, but it tends to feel cramped.

A simple hotel close to...
Liked: The hotel has an excellent location close to the railway station and the tram from the airport. It is located in a quiet street - obviously the area around railway stations is never the nicest one but I did not feel insecure. The hotel is located on the first floor of a residential building (there is another hotel on the third floor), it is a flat or a set of flats turned into a hotel.I had a single room with a balcony. The room was not huge but there was also a fridge and a kettle. The bathroom is small and bigger persons might have difficulties "fitting in" but this is not my case.Wifi did not work in my room, which was fine for 2 days but would be a problem during a longer stay.Breakfast was not included and since it only started at 8 am, I did not take it.Generally, the hotel is ideal for a short stay in Florence, as the centre can easily be reached on foot. There are also many shops and restaurants around.
Disliked: The noise isolation is not the best, so I could hear my neighbours as well as people talking in the corridor.

Exceptional
Liked: Excellent location, central but in a quiet area. Very close to the central train station and the heart of Florence, making it easy to explore the city. The room is very clean, well-equipped, and comfortable. The staff is friendly and extremely helpful.
