Perfect location within walking distance...

Liked: Our room which was located on the 7th floor at the rear of the hotel, was fine and spotlessly clean. The bed was lovely and comfortable and we had four nights of quality sleep. Being at the rear, there was no traffic noise from the main road which runs past the front of the hotel. The hotel is perfectly situated within walking distance of all the places of interest. Breakfast was good with a range of food to suit all tastes.
Disliked: Like so many other reviewers, we found that trying to locate the underground car park was a nightmare. The map supplied by the hotel appears to show a roundabout at the end of Avenue Willy Brandt, but you actually have to double back on yourself to locate the entrance. It doesn't help that many cars stop on the left dropping off passengers at the station. If you overtake these vehicles, you are forced into joining the infamous Lille one way system again!!! Before closing on parking, when departing from the hotel following our stay, we joined several other cars trying to locate the exit. An illuminated Sortie sign would have been a bonus. The shower was horrendous. When turned on, it veered to the left and sprayed the wall. It was therefore necessary to use the shower as a hand held unit. If you are going to stay at this hotel, may I suggest you take your own hair dryer!!!

Flexible communicators in the staff...

Liked: The staff were welcoming and willing to communicate in more than one language. The place was clean, and the check out time is a bit later than normal.
Disliked: The room we had seemed a bit old. The do from the bathroom seemed that in the past was a normal hinged door but now was changed to a barn style door. Not a problem but on the inside it was exposed wood which didn't give about a great experience for the price.

Liked: Great location for traveling by train. Just 2 minutes walk from the Lille Europe station (Eurostar). Room is clean. Bed is very comfortable. Staff are nice and speak good English. Check in and check out are very efficient.
