Location was good, staff needs...

Liked: Nothing, the only reason that made us stay was the location although there was construction around the area. And to be fair the location is good.
Disliked: The staff, needs to take hospitality courses. They don’t even smile, forgetting that we are the guests, and they represent the name of the hotel, they are not humble and they are the worst staff we ever seen worldwide. Secondly, a “4 stars hotel” should at least offer two bottles of water per day, however, water was extra charge without complimentary water per room. Thirdly, there was no water kettle, and even if you asked for one it was extra charge. No slippers offered to the guests as well, when asking about the slippers a woman with blond hair asked about the room number and said “sorry only for suites”, any respectable hotel would at least offer a slipper, or even settle this issue by saying, we could offer you the slippers for a charge of x euros for example rather than just closing the subject this way. We came on a vacation spending “our money” and we didn’t stay for free, so the least that could happen is the staff to be respectful.

A great break in Madrid

Liked: Everything, the staff were always courteous, the room spacious, clean and with coffee facilities... the bed was huge and really comfortable.. the location was great a few minutes walk to Gran Via and the same to Puerta de Sol..
Disliked: The noise from the machines of the roadworks outside... but that's not the fault of the hotel and it will look great when finished.

Apart from the lack of...

Liked: The Room, The Breakfast and Victor the Concierge
Disliked: The hotel is between Grand Via/The Plaza de Sol, the road is very busy and noisy with people passing through until 0300hrs and the arrival of the 0245 dust cart, our room No28 was on the ground floor and made sleeping difficult.

Liked: Excellent location. Centric to Puerta del Sol , Plaza Mayor and at walking distance to museums, cathedrals and restaurants.
Disliked: Very friendly personel
